Pizza/Beer watching the big hockey game! SO TICKED---went to the 1 place I knew that sold Molsons and they were OUT!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I have a recipe for chili that is pretty simple to make and tastes pretty good...

http://balancing-meals.suite101.com/articl...te_chili_recipe

instead of using chili seasoning, I just add some chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, red pepper and a dash of brown sugar..

Homemade pizza at my friend's place. Watching last night's WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, then tonight's RAW on DVR delay.

We didn't end up having tacos, so we're going to have them tonight. We went to this Irish Restaurant with friends. I had pot roast with a baked potato and vegetables. It was just okay.

Do you have a recipe for the lime cilantro rice? I always buy limes and cilantro for guacamole and then never know what to do with the leftover lime and cilantro!

I just put some lime juice and cilantro along with water and rice and a bit of butter and salt in my rice cooker.. I had never attempted this before yesterday... it was ok but next time I need to add more lime juice and cilantro.. possibly even some lime rind too... you also might want to add some chicken broth in place of some or all of the water

I'm braising chicken drumsticks in the crockpot with a huge bowl of assorted veggies.

Havn't used my crockpot yet, so I may as well give it a try

Tossed some whole wheat pasta with cherry tomatoes, fresh basil leaves and chunks of mozzarella cheese.

Sapphire and Marilyn: I make cilantro rice a little different -- I just use white rice (heat it up if Im using left overs), toss finely chopped cilantro, lime juice, lime rind and salt and a bit of pepper and it's pretty yummy! Ive never thought of cooking the herbs in the rice... but maybe Ill try it.
