Holy shmoley. I just checked the cost of the auto train. Besides the fact that it takes 5 hours longer than if we'd driven, the round trip cost for the dates we're thinking of going is $971!!! :o And that was with the AAA discount! No idea if there are taxes on top of that. I guess it's time to read the 36 page relocation manual to see what costs are covered. <_<

We had tomato soup and leftover ribs and chicken for dinner. lol

Taxes are included in the price. Yeah, $971 is expensive, but you are transporting your car. :P

It's overnight and not that bad, actually. :) I believe with the Auto Train you get a sleeper car so you can sleep. That 18hrs down went by pretty quickly for me.

Last night we had apricot chicken. It's basically baked chicken breasts and/or thighs, with a yogurt, apricot preserve, dijon mustard dressing on it. It was rather blah! Not very good at all. I made a salad and a asian sweet chili salad dressing I came across on-line. I kept tasting it after making it, and it just didn't seem to have that zing! So, I added some hot garlic chili sauce (that REALLY hot asian stuff...) and boy oh boy...our mouths were burning. Now that may have been why we thought the chicken was so blah...our mouths were zinged right out of this world on the salad dressing!

Gene suggested I take the salad dressing and put THAT on the chicken when I have it for leftovers....I know I married this man for a reason!

I'm actually cooking tonight, haha.

I'm making what I call "Lazy Shepards Pie."

I just cook the ground beef in a pan with onions and a bit of garlic then throw in corn from a can (with the water) then add a package of onion soup mix. I sometimes add more liquid if needed, it can get salty after a while cause of the mix.

Then I just make mashed potatoes and serve the ground beef stuff over it.

Lazy but good.

My fiance' will be eating the peanut butter cookies with Hershey Chocolate kisses that I made him for Christmas and he has kept frozen in his frig to eat at his leisure.

I am eating whole wheat rotini with spaghetti sauce and Ritz crackers with sharp cheddar.

I will be having a pint of beer and if all goes my way, a burger.

My friend and I are taking her car, loading it up with still MORE of my ####### and whatnot and donating it to the Goodwill. I think after this load of like 2 boxes, the oldest Macintosh computer known to mankind, some bike tires and old keyboards and such, I will be officially junk free.

I only have the stuff that I actually am using. Fry pans, dishes, toaster and coffee maker and stuff.

Not. Kidding. I think I can say that I am finished packing.

Weird eh?
