Olivia, do hope you are also beginning to feel better. Egypt has taken its

toll on you!

Wael got his last MMR immunization for the university. He is now authorized

to pick his classes! Lucky guy!! Well, another project his is undertaking now.

He has cut out all his sugar! No pepsi, sugar in coffee or tea (except Splenda)

no ice cream, candy, etc.....I think he has had a revelation somewhere or was

so sick of hearing me and my constant mouth about the tons of sugar he was

consumming. He did tell me he felt so different. Will have a healthy guy in the

next couple months! I am so very proud of him for making a difference in his

lifestyle.

Good morning....

Hate being up at the butt crack of dawn, but had to put on my best Rosie the Riveter impression to dismantle the plumbing in my sons' bathtub. It was gushing hot water and couldn't get it to stop...didn't figure it was realistic to keep the entire house without water until I could buy the new parts and have my uncle come over. In fact I'm feeling really handy...I might try to replace the parts myself. Cannot wait until I don't have to do all this guy stuff anymore!

Anyway, hope all those that are not feeling well are better today than yesterday. And I sincerely hope that everyone has a wonderful day!!!

good morning mena.

i survived another fever-filled night. Drank my 'lemon-goodnight' medicine and it made me comatose for a few hours. My ribs hurt from coughing. On the plus side.....I lost 5 pounds! I am feeling a little better this morning. Thank you to all my MENA peeps for the well wishes, the phone calls and the texts. It is a horrible feeling to be sick and alone.

SOOOOOOOOOO thankful, Monday is no longer!!! Had a LONG day yesterday. After work, brought my son to speech therapy and then later found out he had an ear infection! And I thought he was faking to get out of speech! Bad mama! Anyhow, brought him to the doc and Tariq is on the mends....got some antibiotics. Love those things!

Jeanne I tried to tell my hubby that making changes come a little at a time you can't try to tackle it all at once. We started together at the Y last night. I am proud of him. He has cut down a little on the smokes but I have told him now that he is working out try no more late night eating and cut out the sweet drinks. Talk about sugar. Yeah my husband is one of those sugar addicts too. I never saw a man drink so many fluids in my life. Water, coffee, soda, juice you name it. If he could have a 2 liter of soda everyday he would be happy. So I said, let's start by cutting out the soft drinks and juices. Just water and the occasional coffee. He agreed. He also is gung ho! about the membership so now let's see if he goes as much as he says. I have to admit, we feel better already and it was really nice for us to do something together and encourage one another.
