Radicals are always scary, but tarring all Muslims with the same brush is rather like assuming all white Americans are neo-Nazi militia members.

That's a scary article. I love how certain zealous people think it's their duty, their RIGHT, to harm any group of people they feel deserve it. I mean, I don't condone homosexuality either but I'm not wishing they would be "executed or crushed by a wall, in public". Psychos.

Bingo. The women in this article are psychopaths. As are their husbands. Psycopaths come in many disguises - Christian, Muslim, pro-life, pro-animal rights, anarchist, what have you.

LIKE ARE YOU WRITTING A FRIGGIN NOVEL OR SOMETHING? I DONT EVEN KNOW WHA TPOINT YOU WERE TRYING OT GET ACROSS COS LIKE ITS SO BORING... LOL

These human rights violations are committed in a society where women are disadvantaged in many areas. They have less access than men to education, food and health care. They are grossly under-represented politically and consequently their concerns are rarely taken into account in policy and law-making. Women suffer a high level of domestic violence and the tribal system of retribution which persists in many part of the country exposes them to cruel treatment and even death. Women are sold into prostitution and as bonded labourers. All these abuses are well documented, yet successive governments have done nothing to prevent them.

AI directly addresses Pakistan.

YOU MEAN TO TELL ME YOU ACTUALLY READ ALL THAT #######? WHY DONT YOU GO SPEND SOME TIME WITH YOUR FIANCE

Samir/Shannon,

How old are you? I suspect you're over 18, so I suggest you start acting like it.

Ahhhh... feel the peace yet?

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

That's the claim muslims make when another terrorist act is peformed in the name of Islam. Their religion is being hi-jacked by extremists but they just want to point their fingers at the 'racists'. weak.

The general consensus I've gleened from my Canadian compadres is that they people are in fact dumb@sses. I'm a member of a lot of muslim message boards, and most will insta-ban anyone who would speak like that.

I will also just mention that praying 5 times a day and attending sisters only swimming events aren't hallmarks of radicals. Those are fairly common occurances in the western muslim community.

From the article:

"The posts were made on personal blogs belonging to both Mr. Amara and Ms. Farooq, as well as a semi-private forum founded by Ms. Farooq..."

That explains the lack of a ban. It was their own blog and their own forum.

I don't think anyone here condones terrorist acts

However, I bet you could get quite a discussion started on what is and what isn't a terrorist act. And the debate wouldn't be solely among Muslims, either.
