how to take web cam photo

Someone in this forum a while back said that they took hundreds of webcam shots and made a college for the interview I can not figure out how to do this Please help

I asked the same question a few months ago. I abandoned that when my computer was freezing up during the process. I think you press CTRL+PRT SCR or maybe Shift+PRT SCR. I just used my digital camera to take a few picks so they know we use a webcam. I took pics of my fiancee chatting with my kids, and my kids chatting with her son, as well as me chatting with her son. Hope this helps.

You copy paste them into a word file.

mike1972e's answer will give you pics of the whole screen, which you can later crop and get looking right. Also, and I just looked at my cam to check this, you might be able to take pictures with the webcam. But, I think it depends on the kind you have. WIth that option, though, you would just have a pictures from what ur own cam is viewing, not the two of you chatting. I think mike's option is the best. Oh, if you don't have a photo cropping tool like PhotoShop, you can easily download a free one off the web.

I do it everytime we chat... All you have to do is hit the print screen button (which will paste your desktop to clipboard) then open up your paint app in the accesories folder and paste into the new window. Click File/save as, and select the format of your choice (jpeg, bmp, gif...)

Hi woodgc,

Not all webcams have program of taking pic. Some do, and some don’t. So it’s always better for you before buying webcam, just ask the seller if the cam you are going to buy can shoot pic. If your cam has that program, then, it’s not hard for you to take pic. My cam is logitech one, and it has so many functions included such as it can take pic and record as well. That’s good, right? After following some steps to finish webcam installation, it will show up three folders: Logical QuickCam which you can shoot picture or making your record there, My Logitech Picture which you can store your pics or records, and finally Logitech Print Service that you can connect your computer with Printer then print all your pics. My advise for you is to buy logitech one, just like mine and your problem will be solved

Update Howie's funware is the answer it works perfect and captures both of our camera's which is what I was looking for. Nice free easy to use. And I also have a logictec cam but it takes my pic'c not hers as far as I can tell.
