After 53 days of waiting I finally received my biometrics notice on Saturday. Since my appointment is still more than 2 weeks away, I would like to go in for an early biometrics.

Does anybody know if the ASC in San Marcos, CA accepts walk-ins? Thanks!

Hi Silke,

I don't know about San Marcos, CA ASC. But most ASC do allow early biometric as long as you have the appointment letter and other government issued IDs.

Try this ASC locator.

https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=of...office_type=ASC

If they are open on weekends. Go ahead and do the biometric appoint. Also some ASC might ask for infopass.

I just had my biometrics taken! I did not even have to explain why I wanted to do a walk-in and was in and out in 40 minutes.

Just got my NOA1 and on it is stated that early Biometrics is not possible. Since my wife and I are going on a vacation to celebrate our 3rd. Wedding Anniversary in August, I'll try to get an early Biometric session as well should the appointment date interfer with our travel intinary.

I also had my biometric in San Marcos, CA last June 2 even my appointment date is June 13.

The office is not strict about it and they work pretty fast.

Ifeel lucky that i had my biometrics there!

Congrats Silke. Looks like the early biometric was not a problem for you, which is the case for most ASC. The folks at ASC only care if you have the appointment letter and official documents and thats it. So I think it's better to do an early biometric rather than wait the last day and panic.
