Can anyone assist me in providing the checklist on filing the I-130 for siblings?

These are what I have:

1. I-130 petition

2. My birth certificate (translated), same parents

3. My name change certificate at the US naturalization

4. My brother's birth certificate (translated)

5. His passport (bio page) photocopy

6. My unexpired US passport

7. My brother's citizen identification card (copy)

8. My brother's house registration (copy)

9. Money order for $355

If I miss anything, please let me know.

Do I need to fill in the G-325A (biographic information form) and also send them the passport photos of myself and my brother?

Thank you for your time.

p.s. Could not locate the information in all of the searches. Perhaps the pundits here will know the answers. Thanks.

I do appreciate your time and response. I realize that it will take a long time. I would like to ensure that we put everything into the system.

You dont need the G-325A or photographes of you or your brother.

You do know that you are in for a very very long wait for a visa to become available to your brother? At the moment they are issuing visas to people in category F4 (Brother/Sister of US Citizen) who have a priority date of Oct 1998. so you are looking at 11 + years before he will be able to get a visa.

You can see the current dates here http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin...letin_4512.html

Thank you for your information. I realize that it will be at least a decade on the waiting list.

I would like to know whether the documents enclosed are sufficient to start the process. It needs to start some how.

Now, I realize that the G-325A and the photographs are not required.

Look like everything is in order. Let me know if any other documents are required. Thanks.

You don't need the G-325A.

Follow this link to see what you need; http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;page=ussibpet

Since you have the same mother - this is probably what you need to send in. Don't send what is not requested - no one likes to look at paperwork that is not needed. The I-130 approval process is just to establish that you are eligible to sponsor your brother for a visa - 1) the petitioner is a US citizen and 2) there is a real brother and sister relationship established through a common mother.

If you are a U.S. citizen seeking permanent resident status for your brother or sister, and you have the same mother, you must file the following items with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services:

* Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative

* A copy of your birth certificate showing your name and your mother’s name

* If you were not born in the United States, a copy of either

o your Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship or

o your U.S. passport

* A copy of your brother’s or sister’s birth certificate showing his or her name and your mother’s name

* If anyone’s name has been legally changed (differs from the name on his or her birth certificate), evidence of the name change must be submitted
