I saw this yesterday, so I checked the Singapore Airlines web site to see if they had similar deals for San Francisco to HCM. I was looking for a departure early in August, and return about 2 weeks later. I tried various dates, and even ticked the "+/- 3 days" option (or whatever it was called) - no dice. It always said "No seats. Try a different day". It didn't produce results unless I selected business class, and those seats were definitely no bargain rate, and most had two stops - one in Hong Kong, and one in Singapore.

I guess if they had a similar deal for San Francisco then those flights are booked full for economy. :(

I tried it a few times today and it was hit and miss... the fares weree in the 900's with taxes and fees included, but the dates would be available and then not.... It was like trying to shoot a moving target with a slingshot. I am still approx 1100 Rt from Fla to HAN or SGN through my agent

If you're interested, PM me, I will send you the email of the asian travel agent(s) who can get you the $760 price. Note, this is for Vietnamese only, American-born's price will be higher. Price included tax and Visa. Disclaimer: I am not a travel agent.

You're paying double for hot dogs in AC (when we finally get the place open).

That's my way of getting back at the "man." :P

That's it... no PHO for you two :D!!!

I do have a problem with that price differentiation, just for the record. I don't have a good answer for the reason why Asian Airlines charge higher price for non-asian folks... Maybe I ask them tomorrow... I didn't think much of it, until now you all calling foul!!!

See how the people who benefit from the systems never complain, don't blame me guys... I just am enjoying the deep discount... Works the same in every system..:devil::devil:

The Deal is OVER! Thread should be closed.

I just checked with my travel agent, he confirmed:

Price quotes he provides for are the same for all customers, only difference is the $30 for Visa if you are not carrying a Vietnamese Passport.

Other agents who charge extra are crooks!!!!

The price is difference, maybe because of the weight. Aha..

Most Asian businesses know squat about customer relations. Have you ever stepped inside an Asian supermarket and a counterpart one like Kroger or similar? Big difference in customer service.'

If you don't like what you see as a "paid" customer, vote with your feet. Otherwise, get used to it.

Just remember, life over there in VN is NOT real! Your money will be worth a LOT less once you get back over here. Back to reality, cowboy!
