Today my wife received her visa and envelope and she'll be coming to the U.S. next week. I have to say that our process went extremely smoothly. From the time we submitted the I-130 to the NVC papers to the Consular Interview, there were really no hitches, save for our having to go outside the Consulate and get new photos.

There's a lot of criticism of lawyers on this site, but our lawyer did a really good job of filing the papers, following up, preparing us for the interview, etc. So I have to say I am happy with him.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.
