Hi guys, I am gonna file for my husband AOS in november( his greencard expires in feb 2010).. I was just wondering is an interview always neccessary? and we were planning a trip back home to celebrate the birth of our son... does anyone think that he will recieve his greencard before our trip in lstr december..?..

You are not applying for his AOS but Removal of Conditions (subtle but important difference)... A November filing will almost certainly NOT be finished by December.

Interviews are not required but may happen.

It is possible that a biometrics appointment would occur in Decemeber

You could delay the I-751 until you return as long as it was before the expiration date

Jul 5 - Receipt date for I-130 petition for my over 21 brother and his wife (both in the UK)

2024

Feb 23 - Sent USCIS a message asking for a processing update

May 6 - Received an email response saying things were progressing normally but that waiting times might be longer

2014

Feb 25, 26 & 28 - got emails saying that the cases had been transferred to another office, then to my local office, and then just transferred and are being processed

Mar 17 - got email, attached to one case number only, saying that my A number was changed relating to the I-130 filing

Hi Khehra,

This is removal of condition forum i.e form I-751. Are you applying for removal of condition for resident getting 2 yr. GC which is about to explain or

do AOS for an applicant married to a USC who file I-485? Can you please explain.

Also like mozplay said :time: It helps other VJers to know your situation better and answer your question properly.
