Jeanne...wonderful news for Wael...I don't like cig smoke...actually especially since being pregnant I can not tolerate the stink...and everyone who smokes I can smell them coming they have a certain odor on their clothing (sorry not trying to insult anyone who smokes but i can smell ya! ). It's horrilbe having a sensative nose :(

Haha... When I was pregnant with my daughter, I was going crazy because I kept smelling this awful smell when I walked into my bedroom. But ONLY right AS I walked in... once I got in there, I couldn't smell anything. I had other people come smell my room, outside the room, etc. They didn't smell anything. And it drove me crazy because I could only smell it at certain times. After about 3 weeks of sniffing-madness, I discovered that it was the wood in the DOOR FRAME that stank. That's why I could only smell it as I walked into or out of my room. :P

Not to alarm you, Jackie, but I heard that any flu symptoms at this time of year are indicative of H1N1, that's what they told my step-dad last week at least when they diagnosed him with it.

Please take care of yourself, and if you have any underlying health issues that could put you at higher risk, please see a doctor.

You should stay home for 7 days to avoid passing it on to others.

~~perfect time to have no health insurance :(

I was on a plane last week, how long after exposure do you feel sick? Everytime someone on the plane sneezed or coughed i thought 'great, thats going all thru the plane'....ala Biden lol. Now I'm starting to wonder.

I think they're giving a pretty wide range - 1-5 or 1-7 days after exposure until you start to show symptoms.

They won't do anything for you at the doctor's (e.g. Tamiflu) unless you have complications anyway.

Wooohooooo....another dancing Monday for me.

Hubby just called & he has booked his ticket!!! He will arrive at 1 am on Saturday!! I can't believe the day has finally come!! Sooooooooo excited!!:dance:

yay!!!! :dance::dance:

Yeah Jackie sounds like you'd best bunker down for the long haul. Can your daughter pick up some stuff for you so you don't have to go out at all?

If you had just made some salad dressing, went to another room to do something and came back and found that a fly had drowned in the dressing would you:

a) pick the fly out with a spoon and proceed to put the dressing on the salad

b ) throw the dressing out and start again

Actually Jen you are right. Flu is not common in the summer. If someone test positive for type A flu at this time of the year, then more then likely it's H1N1. I work at a children's clinic and since June 1st we have had 24 positive type A flu.

Tamiflu is available if you can take it within 24-72 hours of symtoms. Otherwise you just have to ride out the nasty bug. Take about 5-7 days to feel symptoms after being exposed.

Jackie, just stay home and rest, take some over the counter stuff, and get lots of fluid in ya. It's best to stay home to not expose anyone else. Feel better. Hugs to ya!

That depends, of course, on what type of salad dressing it is... I think I would be ok with fishing it out and using it if it were something more solid, like ranch, because it keeps the fly kind of... contained. if it were something like oil & vinegar where the fly's gone for a swim, i would probably toss it :)

You should be cleaning. God willing he will get the visa soon and you will want to have a spic & span home!

Or, you could be watching too much Jon & Kate - like me.

hahaha, I watched Jon & Kate earlier! The episodes just make me kinda bummed lately. It's alright, though, because I've got some mind-numbingly bad "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!" episodes dvr'd to watch. Just a little antsy.

As far as the cleaning... my daughter and I are going over to Egypt to visit for the summer, so even if he receives his visa before we leave here, he'll still have to wait to come over until after we leave, too, which isn't until the middle of September. Pleeeeenty of time to clean
