I e-mailed Montreal with a question regarding my case and I recieved an e-mail back June 11 stating that I had been schedualed for an interview for July 29 and my packet had been mailed out that week. Problem, I have not recieved my packet yet. I am a bit nervous as the interview is only 5 weeks away. When should I e-mail Montreal stating that the packet has not been recieved or lost in the mail???

I'm a tad anxious as I am away spending time with my family in another part of the province and my room mate back home is waiting for the parcel, but they have also mailed papers to my fiance in the states before, but he is currently away with the military for a few weeks and no one has access to his mail. EEkks, HELP!!!

I would wait until Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. If, nothing by Wednesday comes to YOUR address, then I would call the DoS (202.663.1225) and let them know the situation. Whoever you talk to should be able to give specifics as to the whereabouts of your P4 (as in, when it was truly mailed, adnd how long it should take for you to receive it). The P4 is actually sent by the Consulate in Montreal, so if you're a bit of a ways away, then allow for no weekend postal movement. :)

As for the interview next Monday, the 29th, in the K1 Interviews at Montreal thread, go through there. Around page 41-43ish, you should find a bunch of posts by a group of us who all had their interviews together withing 3 days of each other (April 15, 16, and 17). We ALL posted info as to what we were taking with us to the interview (including the number of copies we made, etc.) I know I posted mine, PopRocks posted hers, Wis-Can did, and I think Huggles did too (even though her interview was at the end of April).

Anyway, until you get the actual P4, use VJ and our previous posts to help get yourself started on getting organized. (We were all approved for K1s.)

Even if you wanted to, wait until at least Tuesday morning before calling the DoS. Wait to see what comes in the mail tomorrow (Monday).

Hang in there!!!
