advise needed. please

Hello ALL

So our AOS interview is coming up less than a week

and we have a little problem

my husband is from MO and his car insurance is still under his parent's.

so he never changed his driver's license to CO yet which is illegal(in CO, you have to have CO license if you're here more than a month)

however his car has MO license plate, so he couldn't change it because it is not his car, his dad's car.

and his dad is in MO. Does it make sense?

and now interview's coming up and I think from somewhere I read

we have to have same address on our license.

we can go change his license tomorrow but he won't get the license until next monday(he'll have paper license)

and he will have Co license and be driving MO plate car.

Can we just say, he just lost his Driver's license and show them a passport instead?

I'm so worried.... Does it real matter?

I don't think it really matters. I am not sure about CO, but in NY we need to have an EAD before they will issue a driver's licence, so according to your timeline the earliest he could have done this is about half a month ago.
