Hi Guys,

I came across this site many months ago and have found it very helpful and informative for couples undertaking the K-1 visa process.

My Fiance and I recently got engaged and are going to begin the K-1 process in the near future.

Just a few questions we have for filling out the I-129F and G-325A Biographic form:

1. I am the foreign Fiance and I woked in the states for a while. I have a social security number that was given to me for working....should I fill that in on the form where it says social secturity number by question 8? Also, what is A# if any?

2. On the biographic form where it asks about employment for the past five years, should I put down that I am a student? I have worked in part time jobs here and there, but full time I am a student for the past five years. How do I address this?

Also, I currently live at college, but as of September I am finished with college and will locate to where I find a job. Therefore, my address will change. Do I put down my college address on the form as permenent address? I do not have another address to put and do not know where I will be living as of September.

If anyone can answer these questions it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

PF&RM

1- I'd say yes. An #A number is an alien number given to foreigners under certain visas.

2- You can list your part time jobs if you want.

You can put the address you'll be living at since it will be a while before you receive anything at that address.

I can't say anything about the SS#... I'd list the part time jobs you've had and I'd put your current address. When you move, you can inform them that you've changed addresses - no problem with that.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

Welcome to VJ, and congratulations in starting your visa journey:) you can put your current address as the American Citizen will get all the letters at first and once you have the case number when your file moves to London you could inform them of the new address then it may take a few months for this:)

May I stress that when you do send your petition please fill in the timeline as this is very important in calculating the statistics on these forums and also if you have any future questions it helps members to see at what stage you are at and answer you effectively and quickley:) Other than that welcome and have fun, otherwise the stress will get to ya :)

Yes you would put SSN in Q8 if you had one.

'A' number is Alien registration number given to immigrants, those in the US on most working visa's, and to J-2's. If the petitioner does not have one put 'None' If the beneficiary does not have one they will be assigned one by USCIS during this process so would also put 'None'. If you were assigned one with your working visa you would put that. The alien registration number is one way of keeping tabs on those in the US.

2. On the biographic form where it asks about employment for the past five years, should I put down that I am a student? I have worked in part time jobs here and there, but full time I am a student for the past five years. How do I address this?

It states on the biographic form 'If none, so state'.

Putting student, as many have done, would also be acceptable.

The important thing on the G-325A is not leaving any gaps in the time frame as there has been RFE's for this.

Also, I currently live at college, but as of September I am finished with college and will locate to where I find a job. Therefore, my address will change. Do I put down my college address on the form as permenent address? I do not have another address to put and do not know where I will be living as of September.

Put down your current address. Your address can be changed with the relevant party at a later date.
