Hi,

I dont have a I-94 but I entered the country legally through the border. Its just that when I came in (on British passport) I showed a letter from immigration that showed I was Bermudian and they all seem to know Bermudians dont need the "visa waiver" thing. So, I didn't think it was a big deal & this has never been a problem going back and forth over the border without a i-94.

But from reading this site, the I-94 seems pretty important and expensive to "replace".....

And now, all the paperwork is stating that I need one and need to show how I entered the country. I have already sent them the letter from Immigration proving I am Bermudian, yet it seems that they still want me to do the extra form (its $1000!!!!, its a supplement A or something)...OR show them/send them the I-94.

I dont have anything but the letter to show them as to how I entered/crossed the border....so how do I fulfill the RFE???

Is this going to be a problem at the interview?

Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks!

You file I-102 to get a new or replacement I-94

If you were not issued a Form I-94 at admission to the U.S., or are filing this application with an application for extension of stay or change of status, file this application where you are filing the accompanying extension of stay or change of status application.

Thanks for your responses. I've printed the I-102 form, but I really dont have the $320 extra just lying around to pay for it!!!

I didn't know that Canadians didn't need one either - interesting!

And I've Found something..........

OKAY, so i have a 131 AP Document that says I could leave the US.

When I came back from travelling with this document they put a white card in my passport "CBP I-94 (11/04) Departure Record" it says at the bottom that it is US-VISIT SINGLE USE ......

IS THIS THE I-94 or just what is supposed to be the follow-up to the fact that i dont have one and entered on the I-131 "Authorization for parole of an alien into the United States" document. ???????????????????

I don't know if this makes any sense. I know I sound ridiculous but I have no idea whether this is the document since I've never seen this before in all the times that I have come through.

Okay, and on top of all this, do I send them a COPY of this white card in my passport OR do have to send the actual card itself?

(What if it is this 'all-important document' and gets lost in the mail?)

OK sorry for all the questions and ignorance - thanks for any help or advice you can provide!

That is a I94 you do not send the original you send a photocopy.

Yep, that's the I-94. Send them a copy, front and back.... where it shows the stamp. Sometimes they lose things so they send out an RFE.

Here is a picture of it in the Gallery: I-94

If you fill out your timeline it'll help us to answer your questions correctly. :)
