Ok,

So, Janna is going to visit me at the end of July. She didn't have a problem last time she came to visit, but we weren't engaged yet. I wrote a letter to the CBP just in case Janna has a problem. I will notarize it and also have a supporting letter from my parents (notarized) who we will be staying with (meet my parents). Now she still has a car, a flat, a bank acct, and will have all her info translated. Only problem is she lost her job at the fashion magazine she edits at due to the poor economic situation in Russia since last visit to the U.S., Besides that she will also have a letter from her parents stating they expect her back soon and friends. Basically, I want to see what you guys think of my letter and have any critiques. Be nice. Thanks in advance.

Dear Sir or Madam,

This letter is written in behalf of Zhanna xxxxxxxxxxx for the purpose of informing the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officers at the Point of Entry in JFK International Airport that Zhanna’s visit to the United States on her B-2 tourist visa is strictly for tourism purposes only. Zhanna and I have a pending K-1 fiance visa petition with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). I am a U.S. citizen and she my beneficiary. Zhanna and I understand, and intend to comply fully with all immigration laws and regulations. The purpose of this letter is to provide evidence to the Border Patrol Officer that we are both legally and financially bound to our pending K-1 fiance visa petition.

Zhanna can provide the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officer with the original Notice of Action document receipt sent to me by the USCIS as evidence that we are legally and financially bound to the pending K-1 fiance visa. Zhanna can also provide you with evidence of financial, family, and social ties to Russia as well as having a valid return ticket to Russia and a supporting flight itinerary.

I will be driving Zhanna to my residences from the airport and will be driving her back to the airport for her return trip to Russia. Zhanna and I both completely understand the penalties for any violation of immigration laws and the negative impact it will have on our pending petition for a K-1 visa with the USCIS. Zhanna and I intend to closely adhere to all laws and regulations regarding her visit in the United States. Zhanna and I would do nothing to jeopardize our K-1 fiance visa petition status.

Thank you for your time and service. If you have any questions please feel free to call me at 1-(xxx)-xxx-2468.

Sincerely,

Christopher xxxxxxx xxxxxx

I would actually advise AGAINST this.

You're basically saying, "we know all the rules..... buuuutt, you should let her go anyway." She doesn't need to prove anything coming through the POE other than a valid reason to enter (going to see fiance and fam) and a valid reason to depart (have to go back to my normal life and not stay in America.) That's it!

If you send her through with a "note from mom" they're definitely going to pry. Have her play it cool and tell the truth about why she's coming. If she's been here before and went back home, she should have no problem doing it again. The K-1 doesn't matter at all. So what that you have a K-1? Yeah, she's going to get married to you.... NEXT TIME!

She shouldn't need all this "evidence." She has all the evidence she needs already in her passport.
