Timeline

i was approved k-3 visa and arrived in united states on march 27th and at the new jersey (port of entry) they stamped in my passport saying that in 90 days visa expires. my question is that according to my understanding i have 2 years for adjust of status on k-3 visa. i am not sure what i should apply for next coz at the moment we cannot finnancially aford to adjust status. i spoke someone from immigration and they said to file extention i would appreciate any help with this matter.

Perhaps they confused it with the K-1?

What is the expiration on you K-3?

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

What is the expiration on you K-3?

they being the POE officer, should have stamped you I-94 with an expiration date the same as the date of expiration of the visa

Go back to the POE with your paperwork and ask them to correct the error?
