Hi guys,

I was cleaning my SPAM and I found this email that came in the day after I called USCIS inquirying about the delaying of my case. The weird thing is that when I went yesterday to get my passport stampted for one more year, the officer told me that it was still pending at the VSC and this type of cases normally take a long time to get approved he never mentioned anything about awaiting scheduling interview. I never got any RFE nor a letter for an interview or a transfer letter to the local office, the last thing that I got was a LUD on my case when it was received at VSC after it was transfered from TSC to VSC on 03/12/09 . As I posted before, mine is a joint petition and I am able to apply for citizenship now. My big concern is if I do so, the N400 would it be delayed? or it will help speeding up my i751 approval?

Timelines:

Sent i751 file on 04/14/08

TSC transfer my file to VSC on 04/25/08

NOA received on 05/13/08

NOA duplicated received on 05/21/08

i751 "This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred" email and LUD received on 03/12/09 (9 months later)

Call misinformation line 06/10/09

USCIS email received "Case is pending and awaiting for scheduling for interview" on 06/11/09 the day after the call

i485 and first i765 soft LUD 06/14/09

i751 no touched since march

ready to file N400

*** most of the following information was mistyped in the email received, my last name was wrong the filing date too. Looks like the rep wrote down whatever he wanted*******

I applied for my citizenship even though my interview for removing conditions is next week. Might as well get in line. The delay couldnt possibly be more than waiting for the conditions to be removed first.

By the way try writing to your senator and file a complaint with the USCIS Ombudsman. That might help you in getting your interview. I had to wait almost 2 months for mine. Mine is also a clear-cut case, happily married with my wife for more than 3 years now.
