Does everyone do the biometrics again for N400 even if they have done them recently for I751?

2004 K-1 Visa Service Center : Texas Service Center Consulate : Sydney, Australia Sep 22: I-129F Sent Approved in 89 days. Apr 4: Interview took 194 days from filing. Apr 13: LAX POE Date Marriage 5 July 2005

2005 Adjustment of Status CIS Office Aug 5: Miami FL Date Filed Aug 12: NOA Date : 2005-08-12 Aug 17: chq cashed Bio. Appt. 2006 May 2: Interview Date June 6: Interview Cancelled T'fer to CSC May 26 2006 - June 10: Approval Date : 2006-6-10 July 21: Greencard Received

2006 July 21 06 GREENCARD

2008 I751 Application sent Mar 10: Texas Service Center Mar 14: Check cashed

April 17: Infopass at Miami for 1 year extension stamp in passport due to no NOA

April 22: Biometrics - took 15 minutes April 22/23: Touched both days but no changes

2009 Feb 04 10 Year GREENCARD

not everyone no, but it seems random... some people do it even though they just did it 1 month ago, some skip it and they did it 2 years ago.... no way to know...

06/03/2009 - Received Yellow Letter requesting to bring Driver's License

07/02/2009 - Interview Date *APPROVED*

07/10/2009 - Oath Letter Sent Out from USCIS

07/14/2009 - Oath Appointment Letter Received

07/27/2009 - Oath Ceremony Date *COMPLETE, NOW A U.S CITIZEN!!*

07/27/2009 - Updated Records with Social Security Administration

07/27/2009 - Mailed in Application for Passport (Regular Service)

08/10/2009 - Passport Received in Hand!!!!

My husband has to do biometrics again, even though his removal of conditions (I-751) was still pending at the time, and it had been less than a year since his last biometrics. We had hoped that he would be exempt, but no such luck. Oh well. I guess some people do skip it though, but it seems more rare than having to redo them. (We did file at a lockbox though, to support the previous poster's hypothesis)

Met in Rwanda December 2003

Married in Rwanda March 2006

Came to US with conditional Greencard July 2006

And then we became three, J born September 2006

Removal of Conditions

Applied: June 09, 2008

Approved: June 01, 2009 (after a transfer to CSC, service request, RFE and N-400 application)

Greencard arrived: July 15, 2009 (finally!)

Naturalization

Applied (TSC): May 20, 2009

NOA: June 01, 2009

Biometrics: June 20, 2009

Interview Letter: August 7, 2009

Interview: September 10, 2009

Oath: September 28, 2009

If you don't end up having to do biometrics again, am I to assume that they won't send you back your $80 fee?! :unsure:

09-08-06: Biometrics Appointment

09-25-06: I-485 transferred to CSC

09-28-06: I-485 received at CSC

10-18-06: AOS Approved

10-21-06: Approval notice mailed

10-23-06: Received "Welcome Letter"

10-27-06: Received 2 yr Green Card

I-751 Timeline

07-21-08: Mailed I-751 to VSC

07-25-08: NOA for I-751

08-27-08: Biometrics Appointment

06-22-09: Received 10 yr Green Card

N-400 Timeline

07-20-09: Mailed N-400 to Lewisville, TX

07-23-09: NOA for N-400

10-30-09: Oath Ceremony

11-20-09: Received Passport!!!

Whether your biometrics are taken or not, they won't ever return the fee... :innocent:

I gave 4 or more times on 4 or more occasions on 4 or more visa(K1+K3+CR1) and PR card applications but they want yet another print-set for naturalization. It is OK, no problem, my fingerprints have not changed but no problem :)

I am now a US citizen.
