PARIS - Air France's chief executive says the company will give about euro17,500 ($24,000) as an advance to the families of the victims of the crash of Air France Flight 447 from Rio de Janeiro to Paris. Phillipe Gourgeon says the company's lawyers are in contact with the families of the 228 victims from 32 countries to make sure the money gets to them.

Gourgeon also says in an interview broadcast Friday on France's RTL radio that Air France is looking into holding a memorial for all of the victims of the May 31 crash.

Some families of French victims have accused Air France of a lack of sympathy and of failing to provide them with timely information on the investigation into the causes of the crash.

Says right on your ticket you won't get anything for your life.

Air and Sea rescue has that slogan, we put no value on a human life, but that is just a slogan. You are only worth six bucks an hour flipping burgers at Macs and $24,000 to the airlines.

If drafted into our military, you were a hell of a lot cheaper to the government if brought back in a body bag than they having to pay your promised GI benefits. When your tour of duty was coming to an end, more important to watch your back then your front.

Just like saying things the way they really are.
