You can send up to $1000.00 per transaction for $10.00. Exchange rate is pretty good.

K-1 Timeline in Profile (our story)

Church wedding Sept 18

NOA1's for AOS/EAD received Sept 20 MSC #

Biometrics completed Nov 5 2004

EAD Approval Dec 29 2004

AOS appointment letter received Feb 3 2005

AOS interview scheduled for March 9 2005

AOS interview mostly fine, just need I-693 supplement filled out by civil surgeon

Spend another $40 for I-693 form, sent to local USCIS office registered mail, arrived March 11 2005

AOS finally approved March 25th 2005

Green card arrives about 10 days later

!!Green card has incorrect middle name!! Thanks USCIS

Travel back to Denver, turn in card and I-90 to correct their mistake.

Application accepted, asked for I-551 stamp, they told me "We don't do stamps anymore"

NOA1 for I-90 received from NSC April 18 2005, fee waived

NSC appears to have stoped processing I-90's

Marilyn needs to travel back to the RP, call Senators office for help with green card or I-551 stamp

Travel back to Denver July 1, 2005 and received I-551 stamp in the passport.

What's the fastest way to send money to the Philippines without costing an expensive service charge? Any idea's? Can I fed ex to the hotel or her home some money form? just an idea... can i go to my usa bank and have it wired to a phil bank?

Sorry, I didnt answer you question:

Western Union--as long as she has the MTCN that , she can get it right away with proper Identification

Xoom- You can see/check on you email account if the money is available to pick up--If you are just new sender, they will check the bank that you are going to use, make sure that the name of depositor and other stuff..but on the next transaction there will be no problem, just make send the transaction and you can check too if the money was able to pick up..They need ID too and to make it sure use secret word or message..

Wells FArgo- Make sure she/he has all the necessary docs needed by the bank like IDs..the typical Standard Procedure..

We've been using Paypal since 2006. There's only a $1 charge per transaction or shall I say withdrawal through ATM per P5,000.00 ($100)...

Just send a Paypal Card to your fiancee, then she can use it just like a regular ATM card to any ATM machine in the Philippines.

Who will beat $1.00 per $100? And as long as there is money on your paypal account, then she can withdraw it anytime.

My Scott used to send me money thru Western Union but it's expensive. Fortunately, he discovered Moneygram and since then, that's what he'd been using. He said it's a lot way cheaper than Western Union. You can check their website for the details. You can get the money thru BDO branches and other pawnshops as well. ;)

do you have an account in BDO? You can use xoom.com to transfer money there.

we opened a joint account in bdo last week, we're going to use that to transfer money....

i think for US200 the charge is US6-7...

Thanks to all that replied. My Fiance already hs a card set up in Cebu at Philippine National Bank, but I needed the money to be there quicker than normal processing. I went with Xoom, and it took about 23 hours, but was a great deal. I sent 700.00 us dollars to be picked up in pesos for a fee of 27.51 us dollars I thought because I needed to get the money there basically overnight, that wasn't too bad. I appreciate all that responded.

PAYPAL, as long as you have $$$ in your regular bank account, - she would be able to get the money ANYTIME, 24/day, as long as there is an OPEN ATM Machine for a minimum fee of $1 per $100........

concerning the money that you want to send to the philippines my wife is in manila and we opened a bank account with bpi express in philippines it is a bank located all over the country and they dont charge foir using the card at any of there locations and in america i have a bank account with wells fargo which is a bank located all over the usa and its a great bank they have in it global remittance its a way to send up to 15000 dollars to anywhere that you make the account with for only $2.50 a transaction and it dont matter if you send 500 or 10000 it is only 2.50 and it takes 24 hrs to get to the other country

it safe and secure and it is cheap take about 2 weeks to finalize the set up they will send a dummy transaction to ensure it works right just go to wells fargo and ask them about there global remittance accounts

what it cost to send 500 thru western union you can nuse global and for the cost of one transaction with western union you can send 10 times thru global you save alot of money

if you send it at 9 am american time they will get it when they wake up

thx jeff
