Hello again,

Just trying to get all the facts straight so I can be prepared. Anyways, when in the K-1 process is the affidavit of support documents required. Meaning the letter from the employer and paystubs. Does my fiance need this information in the interview process too? Meaning when he does get his interview will they ask for the information again, or is it something asked for before the interview. Also, what are the requirments for co-sponser. Currently, I have a job, but want to prepare for the worst case scenario. Any responses would be appreciated. Thanks again!

the Affidavit of Support (I-134) and supporting documents are needed during the interview process and the Affidavit of Support (I-864) plus supporting document are needed during the Adjustment of status process.

At some point in the process you will need to read the guides above. I would suggest you do this before you file the petition.

The requirements for a co-sponsoer are exactly identical to the petitioner, they submit their own I-134 and I-864 wit all supporting documents, one of the sponosrs must mee the income requirements on their own, incomes ARE NOT combined. The ONLY time incomes can be combined is for the AOS and then only IF the co-sponsor and sponsor share a household.

I-134 is needed for the interview in the beneficiary's country.

K-1 applicant will have an interview in his/her country of residence (provided there is an Embassy/Consulate in that country to do so - Spain does).

Once in the US - when filing for AOS (to get a PR/Green Card) there may be a second interview with both the USC and foreign spouse.

Check out the K-1 Flowchart (in the Guides) and go through the entire K-1 Guide to become familiar with the process.

The visa application interview takes place in the country of residence of the beneficiaryu, the AOS interview takes place here, IF you have an AOS interview, not all people do, BUT you still need to file the I-864 with the AOS application
