RFE I-864

hello,

so i finally got the RFE they wanted to sent to me in february but that was returned to them and they are asking me for a I-864 (which i had allready send in with my I-485) they dont really give any reaon as to why they need it again but anyway

so to my questions

could it be that they are asking for another one since my wife wasnt the main sponsor on the last one i send in my wife is unemployed (and cant get a job cause of a medical condition) thats why my mother in law filled the form out as my sponsor last time

and should i just fill the form out exaclty like last time and send it in or go to an immigration attorney to get some help with it ?

I think that your wife has to be the sponsor on the I-864, even if she is unemployed. Because your Wife wont meet the requirements for a sponsor they will want a joint sponsor (i.e your mother in law).

I think this is how it should be, maybe somebody else can confirm

It doesnt matter if your wife is employed or not, either way she is your primary sponsor. So even if she makes no money she has to fill out an affidavit. Your mother in law is the joint sponsor even if she is the one providing for you.
