Has anyone taken the new citizenship test? How is the test administered and where do you take it? Any additional information would be appreciated including any questions on the test that you may remember.

Here's a summary page on all the possible questions they will ask you.. Memorize all of them and you need to get 6 of 10 correct to pass the civics. Along you need to pass the writting, reading and speaking portion of the test.

Always wanted to say this. Find a text version of that test that you can copy and paste into notepad, a text only file, and save it, connect a USB cable between your computer and brain and with Windows explorer, copy that file to your brain. After your interview, delete that file from your brain. They won't let you bring in a printed out copy for reference.

Went over those hundred questions and answers with my wife until she could fire the answers back without thinking, that is the hard, but feel the only way to do it.

I just took the new test about two weeks ago. They verbally ask randomly-selected (up to) 10 questions out of the 100. I was only asked six as you still only need a min. 60% to pass. good luck.

Can anyone tell me the format for the writing and the reading portion.

do they simply ask the applicant to read a particular sentence from something of their choice.

For the writing portion, do they read something and ask the applicant to comprehend it and write it down.

It seems from the material I downloaded from the USCIS site that they give a word and the applicant to come up with a sentence to read and write down.

any help in clarifying this would be greatly appreciated.
