Amman...lovely

Well...needless to say i wish i had found this site earlier to gain actual ground truth concerning this entire process. It is simply amazing how long this process takes! I was married in Amman in October and figured it would be just a quick process if i stayed here and filed all the paperwork here....until I really found out the process. Had our petition interview Jan 9th and approved, got the exam and visa packet back in around the 17th....so I guess this is where the wait really kicks in to slow gear? I am about to open up an online pool to see who guesses the date we get an actual second interview. :-) I was hoping it wouldn't take as long as the nice consulor officer told me, but from reading these forum looks like it will be around the year 2020. Another few months of doing nothing in Amman...yeah! (he says sarcastically) Glad to see some other folks wading through the same process. Congratulations to those that recently succeeded and to the everyone else in the "waiting game" I feel your pain.

Welcome!!! I'm glad you found this too.

Slow gear is right. Amman has to be one of the slowest embassies in the world. Congratulations on getting this far, though.

3 of us with recent Amman action were given interveiw dates 10, 11, and 13 wks after turning in the packet. and our interviews were 9-10 wks from then. I'm getting out my calender.

Your paperwork was turned in Jan 17, I'm guessing that between March 20 and April 3rd you will get scheduled an interview in late May or early June.

You and Dollface have stuff in common. She'll probably comment soon.

I'll add you to the chearleading thread.

YES dawn is right we do have stuff in common, i posted in the yallah middle east thread but now after reading your post 2 times thru i can answer some of the qeustions i have asked u....u are still in jordan, like me...and i feel ya, there is NOTHING to do here....i have sat on my bum for 7 months now! lol but being with the one you love is so worth it....what city do u live in...if u dont mind me asking...we are a little north of amman...dawn sounds pretty accurate about when your interview should be coming...unfortunately, we are dealing with the slowest embassy in the world...like i said before, they process visas for iraqis too, so they have double the work, and it that you can expect double the time! feel free to PM me if u want....i havent heard of any other americans here in jordan, so im kind of curious...lol
