I am getting ready to send in the I-129F Package, and I am thinking ahead for the Affidavit of Support (I know I don't have to include this now).

I am wondering, I may in fact make 125% above the poverty line for a family of two (my fiance and I), but I recently relocated and started this job mid-April, so I wont have a tax return by the time I need to fill out the Affidavit. Can this be ok? Do I just keep collecting my pay stubs, and maybe get a letter from my employer which states how much I make and how many hours I generally work?

Also: Just to make sure, this is 125% above the poverty line BEFORE TAXES, right?

Thank you!

Keep collecting your 'new' pay stubs - include them and your most recent tax return (plus supporting evidence) with your I-134 when the time comes. They will base your income on what you're currently making which may/may-not be what is documented on your tax return.

Yes they use GROSS income, line 22 on the 1040...before taxes.

You do not need to meet the minimum with LAST year's return. Current income is more important. An employment letter and recent check stubs will serve you fine. State your FULL year "annual salary" on the form, even if you haven't been there a full year.
