I think Slim and I are doing RoC in the near future (I am doing it in Dec, but I like to plan ahead)

I was thinking we could discuss how it's going with anyone who has successfully completed it or is going through it and perhaps pin the thread. Suggestions welcome.

I have assembled so far:

The I-751 form, the fee, cover letter

1. Baby birth cert (in Sept)

2. Copies of husband's passport (all pages) + green card

3. Federal tax transcripts 2006, 2007, 2008

4. Joint health insurance

5. Joint car insurance

6. Copies of driver licenses showing same residence

7. Check from joint checking account

8. Credit card bill, both names

9. Leases on apartments, both names

10. Trip boarding passes

11. Photos (about 7: together + with family)

12. Mail addressed to both of us

Other bills are in one of our names. Should we include them, just to show same address again?

Yeah, I was reading your post like, "ah, we are?"

Actually, we got the letter the other day "green card on the way." It went fairly quick and easy. We didn't send too much "proof" (back on my soapbox) because we still live in the same place, still have basically the same life from two years ago when we first applied.

We sent -

The I-751 form, the fee, cover letter

Copy of green card

Copy of her W-2

Joint car insurance and loan statement

Joint checking account letter from bank

Photos from trips and family functions/holidays together over the past two years (I think about 8 photos)

Mail addressed to her at our address

And that's about it!

My wife has a friend who had her all worried becuase she applied several months ago and hasn't received her card yet. Her friend came here on a work visa, "married" a guy who she doesn't live with, has moved about four times in the last two years, worked several different jobs, and is now on unemployment. She was asking her about what she must file and how to do the process, etc., and when I told her to drink a glass of STFU and let me handle it, she wasn't very happy. But, now that my wife's received her "green card coming soon" letter and her friend has not, she said, and I $#!t you not, "I know I must listen to my husband about visa protsess."

I tried to use that as justification for spending countless days, weeks, months on VJ, but she wouldn't go that far. "Sometimes, blat. I only must listen to you sometimes. Durok."
