Military in Morocco

Salaam all,

My husband is in Morocco, and he has never been in the military. I'm asking this question because I'm wondering how hinky the investigators are about military associations His father (retired), a brother and a brother-in-law are all military men, and the address he has used for decades on ID and passport is on a military base. That's where he grew up, where his sister lives, and he lives with her family.

He seems to think it will count in his favor for the visa since military associations carry favorable weight in Morocco. I'm not so sure. What should we anticipate its effect to be?

Thanks to all!

I dont think it matters either way.......Long as he doesnt have a criminal record and didnt fight against the United States government there shouldnt be a problem ;)

My husband was in the military in Morocco and it didn't matter. I think this is pretty common and you are worrying too much. As long as he doesn't have a criminal record or still in the Military or did anything against the US or anything like that he has no problem.

Thank you both. I appreciate your responses, as I do all the help I've received. :) I do worry, mostly because it's been more than a year since we married and we're just getting to the visa due to some life rearrangments I had to do to. He's pretty burned out and frayed over the process, and I'm feeling like I have to look ahead for the ruts in the road.

Thanks again!
