Would the Chinese citizen just be transiting through the HK airport - that is would they arrive from the mainland on one flight and then change planes to a flight headed to the US without exiting the airport? If so, then no HK pass/visa would be needed provided that they have a valid passport and US visa.

THANKS GUYS

I'm talking about going to the airport with only a valid chinese passport with new us visa in it from Guangzhou consulate. there is no air ticket to show with e-tickets until you get boarding pass at the airport.

You should be able to get the Hong Kong/Macao entry permit from the

Chinese agency in your city. It's not expensive and it's not difficult to get.

It's around $100 ZMB,

I already got one and plan to do some sightseeing in Hong Kong after Guangzhou.

Just a pet peeve. A thing doesn't cease to be a choice because it's not a choice you like. It's still a choice. On the other hand, if the choice you want is not available, it isn't a choice at all. Life is so much easier when we go through it understanding the truth around us.

The truth is that I ask about crossing the boarder to Honk Kong !

I did not ask for the real facts of life.

I did not ask what my choice was either or help me make up my mind!

I am very aware of my suroundings ! ! ! ! ! !

I did ask how to acomplish somthing ! And your reply has nothing to do with what I ask!

We were thinking of doing the same thing. Go from Guangzhou and fly out of HK. Maybe stay a couple days sightseeing in HK. Is the thought that this should be okay without an entry pass if we have plane boarding passes and visas?

Here is where I stand my fiancee has a permit to go to Hong Kong we got when I thought I was going to have to go there for me a new visa to stay in China but we didn't have to go there but her daughter does not have one but My fiancee is telling me that with their international passport with their new visa to USA will give them the ok to cross over the boarder to Hong Kong so I'm not going to worry about it now.

So you think we will not need to get entry permits to HK?

Plan:

Go to interview. (pass the test)

Wait for visas and book flight to USA, print out boarding passes.

Get visas and go to HK.

Stay in HK for a couple nights.

Get on flight to the USA.

You will be good to go without HK entry permits if they have the K-1 & K-2 visas in their passports.

14. Chinese passport holders who are in transit through Hong Kong to and from another country or territory may be granted a stay of seven days on each landing without the prior need to obtain an entry permit provided that usual immigration requirements are met, including possession of valid entry facilities for the destination and confirmed onward booking for the overseas journey.
