So, after the entry in November, a mistake by the immigration officer, fight for the SS card, incorrect status on the green card, submitting of I-90 in January, going through the production delays, I am finally supposed to get my 10 year green card. I will not start the official celebration until I get the card since hubby and I had to change the address. Good thing about it is that the old address is the address of relatives, and they will not keep the card.

I just wanted to thank everybody who helped me and let you all know that waiting and persistence pay off in the end. Good luck!

LA80,

let us know when you actually get the GC in your hands - email notices don't mean much these days

Took them long enough.

I do not know, but it may have something to do with the fact I changed the address via AR11, and then specifically called them and asked them to mail the card to the new address. That would explain the "we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file" part. Also, my OS155A was approved six months ago, but there was a mistake on GC, so I filed I-90...funny thing...case status for I-90 is still pending although I received a snail mail decision and another welcome letter in April with the old case number for OS155A. Confusing...

I just got my 10 year GC! It was delivered by my mother-in-law, which means that filing of AR11 and spending 20 minutes on USCIS phone was useless. I am happy of course, but so drained by these seven months.

Thank you for your support and help and all I can say is that VJ rocks! :D
