Yrs ago in Sk, we used to get milk delivered to ur house! Yep, you put a sign on the window if ya wanted milk!! The good old days!! No longer deliver milk, but they do deliver booze, lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I grew up in rural AB and although we never had a milkman, we did have a fruitman who came around selling fresh fruit and veggies. And of course a few snacks for the kids. I always got rosebuds or smarties!!!

Kraft Dinner ..... funny cause just the other day i was at winn dixie with the wife and wandering the isles she asked what i was looking for and i said kraft dinner ... she looked at me like i was speaking chinese .... kinda like how she acted when i was still in canada and told her i was on my way out to get a bag of milk that took a few minutes to explain ..thank god for web cams

 Yeah. They call it mac and cheese, I think. You won't find Kraft Dinner here. The american version is completely different, I hear.

I really don't find it much different, aside from the packaging. Then again, I don't find the ketchup much different and everything calls me crazy... But, if it makes you feel any better RYCK, I did the same thing! But his reply was, "you mean like... Mac and Cheese?" I also find it very very strange my fiance gets milk delivered to his house by a milk man! Is that a mysterious American thing too?

That's so cool, I didn't think they had milkmans anymore! We used to have one growing up in a small town outside of Montreal, we'd put this sign in the window if we needed milk and he'd leave it outside!

Yeah they have a special milk box outside! When they are out and need more milk, they just put the empty milk bottles in the box and then the milk man comes and replaces the empty bottles with full ones. Its good milk too, it tastes similar to the milk from home. Its from like, Royal Dairy? something like that.

My parents' house used to have a milkbox built into the wall beside the back door! And I remember the milkman coming with his little glass bottles clinking in the back of the truck. I used to crawl through the milkbox into the little cupboard behind it whenever I was locked out of the house. Couldn't do that now, though.
