If you receive an email from the Department of Health telling you not to eat tinned pork because of swine flu.... ignore it. It's just spam.

:hehe:

Think I saw that on Jeopardy awhile back, that Hawaiians eat the most spam of all of USA!! I cant stand the stuff, lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I did the same with Kraft Dinner, only it was for a month -- not a summer. OMG, I couldn't even LOOK at a box of KD for YEARS without icon8.gif.

Kraft Dinner ..... funny cause just the other day i was at winn dixie with the wife and wandering the isles she asked what i was looking for and i said kraft dinner ... she looked at me like i was speaking chinese .... kinda like how she acted when i was still in canada and told her i was on my way out to get a bag of milk that took a few minutes to explain ..thank god for web cams

 Yeah. They call it mac and cheese, I think. You won't find Kraft Dinner here. The american version is completely different, I hear.

I really don't find it much different, aside from the packaging. Then again, I don't find the ketchup much different and everything calls me crazy... But, if it makes you feel any better RYCK, I did the same thing! But his reply was, "you mean like... Mac and Cheese?" I also find it very very strange my fiance gets milk delivered to his house by a milk man! Is that a mysterious American thing too?

Oh I wish they did that around here with 4 kids we go through alot of milk, the milk man would make a mint off of us and save me the trouble of going to kroger so often. That would save me money cause I always leave with more then I went in for.

That's so cool, I didn't think they had milkmans anymore! We used to have one growing up in a small town outside of Montreal, we'd put this sign in the window if we needed milk and he'd leave it outside!
