hi guys! i arrived here last march and we're just waiting for EAD, AP and AOS approval.

me and my husband is planning a church wedding in PI next year.

I'm holding a green passport valid until 2012.

a fried of mine told me that green passport will not be accepted by next year even if it is still valid.

since it is not machine readable, they won't accept it. they want the maroon passport, and not the green one.

is this true? should i worry and change it?

if so, where can i apply for a new passport?

From what I've read, while the passport (green) is valid until written expiration date, some countries may deny entry to PI passport holders with this non-machine readable passport.

It would be a good idea to get a new one, in my opinion, even though you're technically not required to.

I might also place a call to the PI Consulate to inquire directly.
