What should I answer on question #22 ON DS-230 form that asks what occupation I intend to work in the US? I do not intend to work when I get there first. I am actually a doctor in my country, but I don't want to fall under the act about unqualified physician. I just want to be there to be with my husband, I do not intend to practice medicine. Any advice would be a great help. Should I just answer I do not intend to work or what? Thanks a lot!!!

My previous occupation was also one that required registration and certification in a regulatory body and I will not be working in that profession in the US. I put "Unkown" , was fine and the topic never came up anywhere in the rest of the process. Good luck :thumbs:

mine i put "secretary in my husband's office" though i dont really intend to work coz i just wanna focus our family...would it be a problem?

That should be fine. :thumbs: I know we worry over every little thing in these forms but you will be fine. In my interview I was not asked anything at all about my plans in the US; they just confirmed my husband's work status. If the issue did come up at some point you can just confirm that you are aware of the regulations / certification you would require to work and that you are not planning on pursuing that. Good luck :thumbs:
