Sorry you were offended by my post (Not). I am offended by what you wrote. Whether I am or not is not really the issue however. It is not relevant to whether you wrote an overtly racist thing, and in so doing are beyond the norm of accepted behavior here.

I don't intend to degrade, intimidate, nor incite violence etc. That's very good to hear. Seriously, I am relieved to know that. If so, are you prepared to retract your previous remarks? I can't speak for others, but if you issue a retraction I am willing to move past and not make any further issue out of this. Anyone is capable of misspeaking at times, and you deserve the courtesy to retract.

It is possible I spoke a little too broadly and being the understanding, sensitive guy I am, I will retract that tone if it existed.

I don't see this as having anything to do with race or racism, it was more about common news and crime reports which identify these criminals by the same terms I did.

As I searched for the Youtube song above, I coincidently ran across a few of the scams we have seen in the news here.

These scams by Gypsies are not unique to the USA either, I have read many accounts in Europe too, Italy seems to be hard hit.

I suppose I should put a disclaimer that "These criminals don't represent Gypsies as a people".

OK. I'll take that as sincere. That is acceptable to me, personally. Whether it's acceptable to VJ at large, mods, Ewok... that's not my call obviously.

Regarding your youtube clips.. did you actually bother to watch them Danno? Or just embed them because the chopfvcks who posted the clips on youtube labeled them as 'gypsy'? The contents have absolutely NOTHING to do with Romani (Gypsys) at all. The first clip from a local Idaho TV news station is about a punk called George Stanley who is running scams and bilking people. He's just a run of the mill lowlife. Not a Romani lowlife.

Same thing about the Tennessee clip you posted twice. Local news outlet warning homeowners about handymen or contractors scamming them, bilking them out of money. Nothing whatsoever about Romani.

What you have is lowlife youtube rats who want to proliferate racist garbage by mislabeling these news reports to incite exactly the kind of reaction you've given here.

Am I saying that no Romani has ever committed a crime or scammed someone? Of course not! They're people just like everyone else.
