Hi guys ! I have some concerns and questions. I filed my I-751 on May 26th and recieved my NOA on June 1st. I am still awaiting my biometric appt. letter though. I have been reading everybody posts and I am just concerned in general. I submitted the followings-

1. copy of GC

2. Two affidavits( one from my Mother-in-law and one from my mom who is visiting us now, they are not notorized though)

3. copy of Health Insurance card with My name, my wife's name and my son's name on it.

3. copy of car insurance with my name and my wife's name on it.

4. 2007 and 2008 tax returns. ( we filed through H&R block online, I submitted what I got from them)

5. Bank letter with stamp and date showing joint checking and savings account from 2007 till now)

6. Water and Sewer bill ( only a copy of last months bill)

7. Electricity bill ( only a copy of last months bill)

8. Heating Bill ( only a copy of last months bill)

9. Cable/internet/phone bill ( only a copy of last months bill)

10.Our son's birth certificate and Baptised certificate.

11.copy of our mortgage together showing when we got it and our address.

12.Car titles ( we have 2 cars) showing joint ownership.

13. And ofcourse a picture of me, my wife and our son together.

Are the above documents enough? Am I lacking anything? Could I get a RFE ?

I will appreciate if anyone can make some comments. No speculations please, concerned that I already am will only get worse. Thank you !!

Looks good!

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

....

Looks like you sent plenty of stuff showing joint assets, joint domicle and continuing marriage, that's all they are asking for :D

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

I did just realize you didn't list passport photos - you have those too, correct? Also, I plan to include our marriage certificate again (even though they've already seen it for AOS).

I really don't think Marriage certificate is a requirement at all. And no passport photos were included. I believe thats what the Biometrics is for- Pictures and finger printing. Lest I am wrong ?

Oh and as far as Affidavit is concerned I think they say Affidavit from Friends and Family !

If you read the instructions on the I 751, it says to submit 2 passport photos with your application. If I recall correctly from our AOS experience, the picture they used on his green card is one of the ones my hubby submitted with the application.

I can't remember what happened at his bio appt for sure (and he's not around for me to ask him), but if they did take his picture there, it was simply to verify his identity at the time of the appearance.

No, I don't think the marriage certificate is a requirement either. I was just being #######. :) May not end up sending it at all.

They do say friends and family for the affidavits. I just thought it was prudent to have a 'mix' instead of all family. A friend of mine asked an attorney about it, and he had said it is best to have more than family members give the affidavits since an outside source of a co worker, friend, or someone that you do business with would be better than immediate family members. Essentially because family will stick together and say things for benefits whereas someone that you associate with outside of the family could testify that you are a couple that does things together - and would not be looking to gain any benefit.

But again, it's a preference thing. I'm sure applications are approved where only family affidavits are submitted.

Actually, not everyone has to submit the passport-style photos. Here's the wording in I751 instructions:

Exception

Those who reside overseas pursuant to military or government orders, including conditional resident dependents residing overseas and listed under Part 5 of the form, must submit the following items with Form I-751:

Two passport-style photos for applicants and dependents, regardless of age.

If you're living in the U.S., as I understand the instructions, you just need to send in a copy (front and back) of your Permanent Resident Card.

No passport photos needed if you're living in the US guys.

I did send our marriage certificate as well, with USCIS you never know what they did with my previous application, but true, not mandatory so you should be good.

Affidavits from family and friends are also just additional proof, I used it 'cus I didn't have a lot of documentation but it's not mandatory.
