Hi Everyone,

I am in the middle of a pending i-485, (Adjustment of Status from visitor to permanent resident) and my husband has filed the sponsor i-130 form to petition for me as well.

Ok, so both of these places have come back stating they need more evidence (both want different things: i-485 wants the medical, etc. and i-130 wants my husband's US citizen info).

I know that we have to also send in evidence to prove our marriage is real such as bills, insurance and photographs.

I was wondering if someone knew whether this evidence should be sent to the address for the i-485 or the i-130?

Which form/evidence/package will the interviewer have? Both? (Even though different places are dealing with each?)

Will we get all of these precious momentos (letters, cards, etc.) back after the interview?

Or should we just bring them with us to the interview and risk not sending it in beforehand?

Thank you so much for any help or advice you can provide!

If you have a Request for Evidence then you need to respond to each RFE individually as separately. Assemble your information that is your response to each and send it to the address on the form. Even if the same information is included in both responses, DO NOT shortcut. Regular photocopies are accepted unless an original is specifically asked for

Welcome to VJ. It's always nice to see another Bermudian. There are so few of us here.

If they didn't specifically ask for evidence that your marriage is real in your RFE's, don't send any. They usually only ask for it at your interview.

The RFE's will be specific as to what they want and where to send it. Send only what they ask for so as to avoid confusion. As far as other stuff, don't send them anything that you want to keep. If there is anything that's really important to you and not replaceable, don't send it, make copies. If they want more bona fide marriage evidence, they will ask for it, either via RFE or interview. Also, :time:

Send medical ( Form 693 ) to 485 & send a photocopy of your husband's BC (If born US) and/or a photocopy of his US Passport to 130.

I know that we have to also send in evidence to prove our marriage is real such as bills, insurance and photographs.

You do not have to send any evidence documents (marriage related) right now, except a copy of Marriage Certificate to 130.

I was wondering if someone knew whether this evidence should be sent to the address for the i-485 or the i-130?

You have to mail them correspondingly & separately. They are two independent RFE's.

Which form/evidence/package will the interviewer have? Both? (Even though different places are dealing with each?)

AOS Interviewer will have 485 package, not usually 130.

Will we get all of these precious momentos (letters, cards, etc.) back after the interview?

You do not have to send these evidences right now, however IO might want to see some of them during the interview & usually takes some of them to keep in your file just in case (i.e. to cover his or her a$$).

Or should we just bring them with us to the interview and risk not sending it in beforehand?

Yes, you should take all supporting documents, multimedia etc....of bona fide marriage to the interview only.

In general, send only what is asked for in RFE, nothing more !.... & treat your RFE individually.

GOOD LUCK !.....
