I'm still waiting over a year now. I received my NOA in April 2008 from TSC. Then it was transfered to VSC on 04/25/08. I need to get a stamp on my passport now, my 1 year extension ends up on 06/26/09. What I have noticed is that on 06/14/09 (last weekend) they touched my old i485 and my first i765. Do someone have any idea why? and my i751 still showing up: "Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred." with LUD on 03/12/09. I think this is because I called up on 06/10/09 and open a case because it was out of the approval time frame. Some feedback would be appreciated. I know a lot of people is in a similar situation but it is frustrating... I never got a RFE during this time. Is the process so slow?

I went to my Infopass and got my passport stampted for 1 more year. I was talking to the guy and he said my case was still pending standard processing, and I asked why it was taking so long? he said this type of cases are taking sometimes more than a year to get approved due to not been processesed at local offices unless a second interview is requested by the service center. Then I said: I just wait only? he said yes just wait on the mail. He didn't give me any timeframe, nothing.

Ok! Both service centers (VSC and TSC - suppose to be CSC, I think it's a computer glitch) who are showing up I-751 processing times have 6 months as standard, so you're way out of processing time. You can go the senator/congressman/Ombudsman route, or you can apply for citizenship - this would force them to make a decision on I-751 since they can't make a decision on N-400 before they're done with your I-751. Normally I would suggest calling the mis-information line or infopass, but since you're done both and no result, so your four options are (1) senator (2) congressman (3) USCIS Ombudsman (4) citizenship. Hope those help!

Hi Everyone,

To all of you still waiting: "Don't give up and be persistent!".

And by all means, especially if you are "outside of the standard processing times", I definitely encourage you to:

1) Contact your local congressperson/senator/ombudsman for additional expedite help. (which I did for the 2nd and 5th inquiries)

2) To call the mis-information line for inquiries. (which I did for the 1st and 3rd inquiries)

3) Get an infopass stamp in your unexpired foreign passport (which I did for the 4th inquiry)

4) Apply for N-400/US Citizenship when you have met all the requirements there, as this expedites your I-751 application to be approved beforehand

For more information, see my VJ timeline below in my post signature...

Hope this helps. Good luck on the rest of your immigration journeys too.
