I find bare minerals sits in any little wrinkle you may have, at least that's my experience with it. I have *one* wrinkle - and it definitely enhances it. Now typically I will use Olay regernist anti-wrinkle eye cream, then apply clinique tinted moisturizer with SPF (I also have lancome but that is slightly less sheer). The I use makeup forever lift concealer wherever needed. As with anything dealing with your delicate skin around your eyes PAT the products into place. Sun & acne ointments will really scorch these delicate areas, and being too rough will also cause it to lose elasticity.

I have plenty of little wrinkles and have never had a problem with mineral products 'accentuating' them.

My makeup routine is to apply moisturizer in the morning as soon as I get out of the shower. IMO it has time then to 'soak' in a bit while I get my hair done up for the day (5 minutes or so). Then I go on to doing my face after the moisturizer has lost its initial 'glisten'. The 'trick' to using a mineral foundation is the right brush (a nice fluffy one and dedicated for that use only) and realizing you don't need very much of the product to cover. I have freckles and am fair - I get just as good a result of 'blending' out the freckles with mineral makeup as I ever did with foundation.

On the rare occasion that I wear any makeup, I use Clinque's "Almost makeup" it is more like tinted moisturizer, probably similar to what another poster mentioned, but you can go try it out at the mall. I use it more like a moisturizer, rubbing it in instead of letting it sit on top of my skin - more to even skin tone than to do any cover-up. Can't really feel it, so it doesn't make me feel unnatural.

what is a tinted mositurizer?

Well, really, just as the name suggests, instead of being a white cream that doesn't have any color, it is brown and more opaque, but not nearly as heavy as liquid foundation.

My sister likes the mineral makeup, but I don't have any experience with it except the 2 or 3 times I've sat still long enough for her to put it on for me (felt fine, but I wasn't outside sweating either). :)

I have been struggling with acne since I was 13. Now I am 27 yrs old, and I am beyond annoyed with the acne...

Any acne product out there, you name it I have tried it and nothing seems to help, so I rely on Physicians Formula loose mineral powder for coverage.

It evens out my skin very nicely, and it also absorbs the oil really well, and most importantly it feels very light and breezy so I don't feel like i am wearing anything at all.

About a month ago I started using antibiotics for some dental problems, and since then my skin has gotten so clear! I cannot believe it, I keep staring at myself in the mirror throughout the day and wanna touch my face over and over again cause it looks so clean, I love it

The antibiotic I am taking is 500mg Amoxicillin, and it is doing wonders for my skin. Unfortunately, I know I cannot take it for prolonged period of time, but I definitely plan on visiting a dermatologist soon and see if they can now prescribe something that will have the same effect as Amoxicillin. I have not changed my diet or any of my habits in the last month, so this must be all due to the antibiotic. I used different dermatologist prescribed antibiotics before, but none had this kind of positive effect before.

Anyone had a similar experience?

Hello Ladies,

I have combination skin and use many tricks. Boots has a foundation that is made from botanicals that have natural acne fighting stuff, it helps. When I go to Africa I sweat a TON! I use this cream stuff by Proactive is absorbs oil. It made a big difference for me.

I also use a tinted moisturizer mostly on the weekends when I don't want to put my whole face on. I discovered that my acne is definitely hormone related. There are so many hormones in so much food that we don't realise. I am pretty careful about any extra hormones that I might be putting into my body.

Check out that oil absorbing stuff that Proactive makes...it works. I use other Proactive products when I have problem areas.

I don't have any major skin problems but I don't like the fake make up look either. I like clinique. They have something called "almost make-up". I love that. It's like a tinted moisturizer and doesn't make the face look shiny. If you have a Sephora close by, go check that place out. They let you test everything at the store and give you good advice.

My grandma (who is probably MUCH more wrinklier than all of you guys) uses Clinique makeup and she looks awesome.

Unfortunately, Joyce, she doesn't have a hair helmet like yours, so she's not all that.

In all seriousness, the stuff can be expensive but it's really good makeup. Usually if you just go into Macy's they will try it out on you to see if you like how it looks. It's worth a shot.

I've tried Proactiv. Then I found other acne treatment OTC that have the same ingredients and decided to buy them since it's cheaper than ordering online.

First I tried ''Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Complete Acne Therapy System'' then I tried ''AcneFree Clear Skin System'' and then I tried ''Acnefree Severe Acne Treatment System'' which is the one i'm currently using and it is my favorite between the 3 of them. They all have the same stuff, a cleanser, a toner and a repair lotion. The difference is that acnefree has benzoyl peroxide also as cleanser, while proactiv and neutrogena's cleanser is salicilic acid, which doesn''t help my skin. The lotion on all of them is benzoyl peroxide, but the one i'm using also has a retinol lotion.

Nessa,..tricare will give you a referrral to a Dermatologist. My PCM, put in in the system for me recently. I am seeing one after I get back from Holidays,..

i'll look into that. i have to go see my PCM because of my wedding ring allergy anyway.

Retinol-A is what my mom used to use after the oven exploded in her face. It's got some acid components that does a peeling on the face, slowly. It's great to even skin out but it's very aggressive.

Nessa my sister took Accutane twice. She didn't have acne for a really long time, but it's coming back now. They also think the accutane contributed to her hyper-sensitivity to light and her esophagus problem. I really don't recommend trying that unless it's a last resort.

Also, I think someone said it before, your body is recovering from the crazy hormonal changes of carrying/having a baby. I'm sure it's going to do a lot of weird things before stuff returns to normal. Give it time :)

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

So I bought that Clinique All About Eyes cream today, 'cause you all were raving about it.

The Clinique lady also showed me a way to apply blush which I never knew how to do. I have a round face and I was looking for tricks to make it appear skinnier and to make it look like I actually have cheek bones :))

So, we'll see how successful I am at it tomorrow applying it myself

I had problems with my skin, just like you and for some reason after I hit my 20's, it seemed to get worse. Eventually I saw a dermatologist, after trying everything else out there and they put me on antibiotics for the skin! He said my skin was suffering from infections and it wouldn't matter what sort of products I would buy out there to try and deal with it. I haven't had any problems since I was treated for it with the antibiotic. Good luck with your skin, I know exactly what it's like to struggle with it!
