hello guys, well it's me again , gosh I never run out of questions ; ok so here is my story :

before coming here for the wedding in june08, my hubby ( then my fiance) went to see a n immigration lawyer and asked about what petitions needed to file since we are going to be married the following month ; he hired his services and paid the full amount that was may ; hubby came and we were married , he brought along with him papers i need to sign for petition and after a week when marriage certificate has been released and got a copy send it immediately to the lawyer ; after 30 days hubby went back home and petition has been filed , it was only in november and december 08 for the I-130 and I-129 ; I am kinda getting impatient , so last may09 I emailed the lawyer and inquire about staus and asked him if he can send me the case numbers of petition so I can inquire from here and he did ; so I went to USCIS website and checked on the petition , as of today says there last updated, june 4,2009 ; it has been almost 7 months since both petitions has been pending ; my question is:

1) do you think it is best if I call USCIS and inquire about the status? I am having second thoughts since a representative has filed on our behalf ;

2) when and where does the services of the lawyer ends? will he help in filling out affidavit of support form?

hope to hear from you guys , good luck to all.

You know, I know how you feel believe me. BUT, your husband should be doing this instead of you since he is the petitioner and you are still dealing with the US immigration.
