Hi,

I have received the interview date letter (email to be exact) saying that need "1040 for 2008 from the petitioner". I already sent a print of the 2008 e-file with my package 3. Did I send the wrong item? what exactly do they need?????

Thanks

E-file is not sufficient.

You either need the 1040/w-2 for 2008, or the transcript (from the IRS).

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Do I need to send the original to my Fiancee, or scanning and emailing will suffice?

thanks Bobby_Umit

when you say e-file is not sufficient... can you clarify? In my case my I printed my "e-file" from turbo-tax (which was nothing more than a filled out 1040) and all I did was attach the W-2's

YMMV

Right, you need the W-2 to go along with it. (i should of been more clear in my OP - not knowing what part of the efile he sent, i listed the 1040/w-2 for point of reference)

I sent a print out of e-file (with 123 easy tax company)- it is a 1040 basically, and I did sent the W-2s along with it. However my Interview letter stated that I need to provide this Item to my Fiancee at the time of the interview.

I just ordered the transcript just in case. Now, can I just Scan and email this transcript or I should mail the original I will receive from IRS in 10 days?

Yes you can do that. Just copy whay you sent originally to your Fiancee. (I take it, you sent it with the I-134?)

But - when I called the IRS, they just faxed over my transcripts while I waited on the phone, you may want to do that. (if you have a fax line they can use that is), No waiting.
