I will calm you down right now. Same thing happened with us. We got a 221g because they wanted additional documents proving his date of birth. Something totally not expected, considering we gave them his birth certificate. I too freaked out when I saw that we got something called a "denial" under 221g. Anyway, long story short, we returned the documents they requested and after about a month my husband got his visa. The paper which they gave you (221g), does it list on the form that they need the police certificate only? It doesn't say that your case needs further review does it? If it doesn't say anything except that they want the police certificate then I really think you'll recieve your visa soon. That's just my opinion.

Thank you. No, there is nothing in the paper saying that my case needs further review. Actually, it did not say the word "denied:. It just said "It cannot issue you a visa at this time under section 221(g)" also, " In order to complete processing of your visa application, please provide the following" and list of the additional documents, and in the last paragraph they said if your submission meet the requirements , they will ask me to submit my passport. Today I got an email from the consulate saying, "We have passed your file along with the submitted documents to an officer for review. Once the officer makes a final decision, we will let you know". Hopefully everything will be fine.

Thank you guys for your support. It helped a lot. Just talking about it in this forum and receive others support are helping a lot. Thank you again.

Update,

17 days waiting after my interview with stress. I have received a letter for the consulate saying that my case is completed, but it needs additional procedure, and my case is bending now under AP. Sucks!! We are in the same boat as most of you guys. We do not know if we can go through all of this **it. It is sad :( We are thinking to buy a ticket and ask my wife to return back here and live in Palestine because I do not want this to effect our relation. My wife is collapsing as a result of being apart. The problem is that it is difficult to be apart after living together for almost two years. I think I am more patient with this than my wife because of VJ and you guys especially after reading others' stories and support from you guys. I told my wife about VJ, but my wife refused because she cannot handle reading other stories and how they have difficulties. It will stress her more.

I have some questions guys. If we decide to live again here in Palestine for a couple of years, can I apply for CR-1 while my K-3 visa is pending under AP? If yes, Do I have to use the K-3 visa or forget it? Or do I have to use it once I get it to activate it. If no, and we decide in the future to go to the USA, and we did not use K-3 visa, do we have to do the same procedure and go thru this again? Sorry for inconvenience. I am little ignorant with the immigration procedure because my wife did everything, and now I want to give her break from all of this, and try to educate myself about immigration procedure to the USA. Please cite your source if you have answers to my questions because I want to read too. Any information and explanation would be appreciated. Thank you

I am still up in the air as to whether bringing your spouse here is a privilege or a right, feel it's more like a privileged. But what can you say about a government that jerks out a 30 year old woman in the Army National Guard and sends her to Iraq for 18 months? Did that to my next door neighbor, leaving her husband and 7 year old daughter behind. NG is suppose to be for home defense, offered to them our home if for any reason, my neighbor needs a free baby sitter for his daughter. But fortunately for him, his mother lives nearby. But thanked me anyway. Audrey won't see her mom for another 15 months now and that is if her mom does not get killed.

Know this is not the issue here, but the separation is the same, I was pulled away from my family for six years, but did get to see them occasionally for a war that didn't change anything as were my brothers. And I can tell you, the stress is a hell of a lot greater when your loved one are gone rather than you, will you ever see them again? When it's you, you really don't care anymore if you live or die when you are living under miserable conditions.

Same stress again with the USCIS, but you are not dealing with the USCIS, but individuals where some like to play God with your life. At least here, you have different options and different help, did rely heavily on my senator, was far more helpful than my congressman. Senator is in for six years, congressman was to busy trying to get re-elected for those short two year terms. The K-3 is not the only option, but don't know all of your circumstances.

Im sorry to hear about the AP. I hope its speedy

My husband and I were seperated for 16 months. If your wife needs someone to talk to, i'll give you my email address.

I have some questions guys. If we decide to live again here in Palestine for a couple of years, can I apply for CR-1 while my K-3 visa is pending under AP? You can go forward with the CR1 thru NVC. If you interview for and get the CR1, you dont have to use the K3. This is explained in the guides here pretty good, I believe.

The k3 petition, once approved can be used for both visas(CR1 and K3). If you have the CR1, you can forget the K3.

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!
