I need opinions on my new website!

I think its a beautiful site- and I love the horse piccies

The only thing I would say- If I were visiting there with a thought of hiring you for some photography work- It wasnt obvious to me what your location was, or where you are able to travel to to provide photographic services. I might have just missed it- but through the eyes of a 'customer' I may have just not been able to find it straight away and moved on!

Nope, you didn't miss it. I pointed this out to the developer about an hour ago, so it will be changed soon! It is, in fact, a vital piece of information that is missing!

Very nice, easy to navigate. One other thing I might change is maybe slightly lowering the navigation bar so it clears the images a bit better since it's transparent. Just a thought

I really liked it as well! Simple, and clear, and really good images.

Of my only two comments, one has already been mentioned...the navigation bar gets lost. The other is a word change...in the second paragraph it says "Glass Orchyd Studios will provide". I suggest removing the "will" and changing it to "provides"...it's a minor thing but it is a huge shift in perception to a potential client. Using "provides" is a more active form of the verb and also gives the impression that you have ongoing, happy clientele (even if you don't...yet).

Have you considered creating a home page with your "About" page being separate.... If I were browsing for a photographer, I would look for (in this order):

1. examples of creative work, specialties

2. location

3. how to contact

4. background bio info

It's very proffesional, simple and convincing but i think you need to add something to make users with dial-up connection browse the website without having problems..

heh, 8 years as a Technical Writer. My whole life as an English geek. Glad it's useful to others.

And you aren't lousy...it is a very good piece of writing. Like most things, a second set of eyes always helps.
