I need your help !!!!!!

Good morning everyone

I had my interview on March , 26,2009. the consular officer gave me my passport back and she said they need to do some Administrative process and they will contact me once that compete .

I sent an Email to the embassy asked them if i'm still under AP .they sent me an Email back .

this is what they said :-

Dear Sir:

The case is on the waiting list pending an interview slot. We will contact you once that is completed.

Regards,

Consular staff

Does that mean they will interview me again ?!!!!

Its my first time to see that kinda Email . and its the first time they sent me that kinda Email .

I'm confused .please help .....

Kind of hard to say, i know sometimes when i would email the embassy, they would reply back with an answer that I didn't even inquire about. I would maybe write them back in a few weeks and see what their reply would be the next time around.

I would just reply and ask... say you are awaiting AP completion and ask if another interview is required.

Cairo is so vague! Ok here is what we used to do when we'd get a weird message like that:

1) Call the State Dept and ask what the status of your case is. If they say the same thing, that you're pending an interview then that is what your status really is.

2) Send another email asking them to clarify what the last email says. I doubt they will but it's worth a shot.

The only thing I can think of is that they want to give you a second interview. They did this with my husband (in addition to 2 home visits) just to check that the information they had is current and then he got his visa in the mail a few days later so HOPEFULLY the end is in sight for you!

That's what i really did .I sent them an Email and i asked them if i'm out of AP and if they are going to interview me again ?!!!!!

here are what they said

I'm so confused now . maybe they sent me a wrong answer the first time .!!!!

I will try to call DOS and see what they will say .

I would send an email and ask them to please LOOK AT THE CORRECT records and find out what your case status is because you have received 2 different answers to the exact same question. Have your fiance send one as well see what they answer is for her. aaahhhhh Cairo, they don't have a clue sometimes

Have Trina email them. Tell her to not get too detailed with her email. Tell her her to explain the response you got before and she is checking up on it. First she needs to call DOS....like Bridget said, she can reverify what DOS told her in the email and ask them to confirm. Do not be too wordy at all or they will only pick out one or two points to verify. Again, start with DOS, verify with Cairo.

DOS will be the one to tell you that your visa is even issued before Cairo will. I got an email from Cairo stating that my husband was under final review and he actually had his visa in hand....so see????

I think it is possible they are going to interview you again. I guess if they gave you 2 different responses to the same ? you need to make sure BUT whatever they decide, I am sure the are going to contact you.

If they do interview again make sure you are really prepared. If there is anything you think they are looking at specifically

brush up on that area.

Well my fiancee called DOS and they said i'm still under AP . and she told them about the embassy Email and they said that they did not see anything about that on their computer .and they asked her to call anc check again after couple of days .

I sent them another Email and my fiancee will send them one . see what they will say .

They don't read their emails. I sent them an email with our updated address and contact information asking for the new packet 3 and they sent me a reply saying please send us your address and new contact information so we may send you packet 3 by DHL and you could see our address and updated info right there.

I know believe it or not they call me madam .LOL its my first time to know that there is a woman called Mohamed in this world . and they call a woman here on vj ( she is American citizen ) Sir LOOOOOOOOOOOL .

I know that they don't pay so much attention when they read our emails .i bet you people who check our emails they are Egyptians .lol

No one is really happy with the clean version of hell ( USA embassy in Cairo ) LoL.

they said I'm still under AP and they will contact me once that is complete .

I think they will say the same to my queen . so nothing to worry about so far .and i hope to get out of AP soon .

The clean version of hell screws up again! *Sigh*. Sorry you had to go through this mess. Hopefully you will be out of AP soon, however never underestimate these d##kweeds. They are capable of anything and everything...as you well know.
