I criticize the right wing on VJ for their double standards, constant rhetoric & stereotyping of "liberals" (a term so widely used & abused it has lost all meaning). My contempt for the right is based on what I see as a general degradation of the Republican party... great Republicans like Reagan have been replaced by vile, bitter politicians like Cheney & cartoonish talking heads like Limbaugh & Coulter. I was a Republican back in the late 80's/ early 90's but I can no longer relate to or even respect a party that seems so quick to blame everyone else & doesn't seem to take responsibility for its failed policies.

Reagan left office in 1989 so you don't remember much about the Reagan years. Either you're too young to have what was going on in the 1980s or merely delusional. Either way it now explains your odd reasoning on recent political history.
