I know there would be somebody here that could help me with my dilemma. I got my 2 year GC two years ago and so did my 9 year old daughter. Now it's time for us to file for our removal of conditions. I submitted our application on the first week of May this year and I got a letter confirming they received my application and another one for my biometrics schedule. My question is this.. Is my daughter included in the biometrics appointment although it's only addressed to me and only my name was on the letter? Or they would send me a separate letter for her biometrics? Do I need to file separately for her? Or did I do the right thing when I have her in the part 5 slot of the application? I am really confused. Please help... Thanks!

Hi,

As far my knowledge and observation goes. Parents who apply for I-751 for their kids along with them get separate NOAs (Notice of Action) and biometric appointment letter. So Did you get the NOA for yourself and her as well?

The I-751 Instruction says:

Each conditional resident dependent, eligible to be included on the principal applicant's Form I-751 and listed under Part 5 of Form I-751, is required to submit an additional biometric services fee of $80.00, including dependents residing overseas pursuant to military or government orders, regardless of age.

Did you submit additional $80 for her as well. If not then they will not send you a biometric for her as they didn't receive the money for her.

If you didn't then,

I would suggest to make an infopass for your nearest field office ASAP and tell the immigration officer about your situation and ask him/her if you pay via check or other means and have your daughter's biometrics taken over there.

If you did send additional $80 besides $545.00 for your application, then her letter should on it's way. If you don't get the lbiometric etter in 30-45 days since you got her NOA, then make an infopass and have her finger prints taken at the field office.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for the info. Yes I did pay an extra $80 for her biometrics. I sent a check totalling to $625 and they cashed it already. I submitted my application on May 6th and I got my notice of action letter but I didn't receive anything addressed to my daughter. It's been over 30 days since I submitted my application so I'm a little worried. Like you said, I would just bring her on my biometrics appointment here in our local office and tell them about the situation.. I appreciate the help..

Hi,

Not a problem. I know how you must be feeling as we all have to go through this painful process. I think you didn't understand my advice. I was talking about field office and not ASC they are different. ASC is mainly for biometric and other things while local USCIS field offices handle a lot of things.

Infopass are for field office and as far my observation goes some ASC might ask for infopass as well depending on your area.

So I was suggesting taking her to field office by making an infopass appointment.

http://infopass.uscis.gov/

If you do take her with you on your biometric appointment. They probably might now allow her to have her biometrics taken because she doesn't have the letter. You can try and ask them if they have her name in the system for a biometric appointment and may be they might take her biometric as well.

In case you can't get her biometeric done with yours and you don't get the letter after 30-45 days since you got her NOA, then make an infopass to have her biometric done.

Hope it helps.

Good Luck.
