Hi Guys,

I noticed that some CSC filers get their NOA2 in 1 to 2 months, but what is the average wait time until it gets approved. I am planning on having a November wedding. Is that a reasonable date to set? That would be 7 months from the time I recieved my NOA1. I am a May 09 filer. Any feedback on dates would help, as far as what you guys think I am looking at. Just running out of patience :(.

Running out of patience and you just got your NOA1 in May? :D

You can see the timeline averages by clicking on the "Immigration Timelines" at the top of the page. I would thing that since you received your NOA1 last month that you should have the interview in January/February/March. Maybe earlier but November is maybe unrealistic.

Start reading the 2009 May Filer K1 CSC thread.

Beleive me your lucky being at CSC, honestly I've passed 5 months and heading very quickly to 6 months and nothing. I would kill to be at CSC since VSC can't even seem to get there order of porcessing even half right. You will get there before november, I'm sure of it, but as for me.......I'm not so sure :(

01/08/2009 - POSTED NOA1 to VSC

01/13/2009 - RECEIVED NOA1, Case Pending

02/06/2009 - TOUCHED - Finacee moved so I presume that was the reason for it

05/20/2009 - Contacted Congressman's Alan Grayson's Offices to ask for assistance on our case, He agrees

06/13/2009 - 5 months and nothing, not even from our congressman :( Were is our NOA2!!!!!!

06/16/2009 - Our congressman actually made contact us for the first time in 4 weeks only to tell us they had written our address down wrong so here we are, still stuck in limbo with not a clue what's happenening

06/17/2009 - Called NVC on a off chance they might have it and they do!!!!! Woop woop. All we need now is that hard copy and were set!

06/17/2009 - NVC send our visa and petition to the london embassy - My packet 3 is on the way, woop woop!

06/19/2009 - Recieved NOA2 in the post, dated 06/11/2009. The panicing is over.....for now

07/01/2009 - Reeceived Packet 3 in the post, woop woop

Unfortunately the last time people got theirs in about 30-60 days was in March, the ones at the moment are all military expedites. Right now its taking about 95-105 days or so for the NOA2, and then your interview depends on your consulate, some are faster than others, I would take a look at yours to see what the timeline is, and dont forget for your estimates to add in NVC takes about 2 weeks to send your petition though, provided you dont get stuck in AP. When mine is all done it will be about 7 months I think, provided we dont get stuck in AP either.

Congrats on your approval! Yeah, I do think 7 months is the average time for K-1 visa's, but I know they are trying to make it a goal for 5 months. I do believe Jan - Mar 09 for interview would be 9 months and that is too long. I did check my consulate processing timeline and I calculated 6 months exactly.

Well the 5 month goal they are working towards is for the NOA2 part. Right now CSC says the processing time is 5 months, so I think anywhere from 3-5 months is pretty realistic for a straight forward case. It looks like India's average wait upon return of the P3 is about 2 months to interview, so I would say about 5-6 months on the short end, 7-8 on the long as long as its straight forward and there is no common names or anything like that.

Your timeline right now guesses your NOA2 will be at the beginning of september, so you could very well have your interview in November :D

Thanks for clearing that up. I thought the 5 month goal included the the interview process and visa. I am the petitioner and eagerly waiting for my fiance to get here :). Yes, I guess I will keep my chin up for my November 2009 wedding hoping for the best.
