What else do we need

Our Visa is on its way, so the long and tortuous path through US Immigration approval of a Fiance Visa is finally almost at its end.

The other day I found out about a procedure Maria needs to do called the Exit Seminar through CFO, and it scared the heck out of me; since, no instructions anywhere in the whole ordeal we have been through mentioned it. We found out by accident, so now we will get that done too.

This of course raises the question of what else does she need to do that we have never been told about. I saw mention in my hours of research to find out about CFO, that there is a form she will need to complete called the I 94; however, this seems to be done when she arrives in the airport in the US with US Customs and Border Patrol. My memory in all this reading the other day speaks of some Philippine Emigration Form that will be needed too, but now I can't find reference to it anywhere. Maybe that is just a bad dream.

Aside from the Visa which is soon to arrive from the Embassy with Air 21, and the CFO Exit Seminar she must attent and pay for, are there any other procedures or forms she needs to do before they will let her get on an airplane with me. Is there a Philippine Emigration Form we need to complete and get notarized etc?

Thanks once again for any advice given. VJ has been a god send for me, and I've been going on daily now answering questions for others.

First, congrats!!!!

Well, your fiancee will know about the CFO seminar once she receive her visa, it's in there written in a piece of paper.

There are 2 CFO office in manila and 1 in cebu. my apology because I can't seem to remember now the exact location. Rest assured the other VJ members here will give you more specific answers.

The I-94 will be given when in the plane for you fiancee to fill out and at the POE, she will give it to the DHS officer together with the VISA packet.

have a safe trip!

There is also an embarkation card which the airline will provide for her to fill out at the Manila airport and she will provide that to the Phil Immigration officer. Of course there is the terminal fee of 750 pesos and the Travel tax(someting like 1600+peso) on her ticket. Both of which are paid at the airport. If she buys the ticket in Phil the travel tax is usually included in the price.

All of these are in addition to the answer you got above.

Hey Carl, Just thought I'd pass on what I've heard in regard to the CFO. Your fiance wants to go to the one at St. Marys not the one at Prism unless she is in Cebu. I have heard that St. Marys is much quicker and a lot less of a pain. Good luck. Mike
