Jason has some kind of supernatural powers like his sister, but he has yet to realize or discover.

In the preview to next week's episode, it showed that Eric was going to sacrifice himself in order to save his Maker (Godric)...which confused me because we saw Godric save Sookie from being raped.

And I'm also wondering how Maryann ties in with the vampires?

Hmmmn. Maybe Eric just doesn't know that Godric doesn't need saving. I guess the church could have a secret weapon though.

I think Maryann expects an offering from Eric because he runs a bar where alcohol is served. Inspiring drunkenness is supposed to be her thing as a Maenad but since no one really follows that religion anymore she resents it when supernaturals serve alcohol and steal her thunder. She draws energy from making people drunk and lustful so when other supernaturals take that away from her by serving alcohol she expects some kind of offering in return. I think that is why she was after Sam as well since he is supernatural and runs a bar serving alcohol. I think Sam and Eric will have to keep giving her offerings as long as they run bars. I think when Maryann attacked Sookie it was really meant as a warning to Eric that he needed to pay up.

Very interesting. Yeah, there's no way to kill Maryann, but there's got to be a way to make her go away or become less influential.

Have Eric and Maryann crossed paths yet? That would make sense regarding Sam. I have a feeling that the Vampires are setting up a trap for the Bible thumpers...just a feeling. Do you think Eric and Sookie get together? A little Vamp love triangle? She hates him a little too much. Bill is so boring and the flashbacks are so awkward. I like Eric. Jason has something going on. Jason dogged that meathead and then he ran and tried to take it out on a girl. Lame.

In the books, from what I read on the forums, Sookie and Eric do end up having a relationship, but there's no telling if the show will follow suit. Lafayette, for example, dies in the book series.

I miss True Blood! I haven't seen the last two episodes! The last one I saw is when Maryann had the party and everyone went wild and her hands warped... I knew she was a maenad, as I read the TV Guide article, or Entertainment or whatever it was that told us that snoop.

I moved and have been without cable.... I finally get it tomorrow... thank the goodness for OnDemand!!!! Yay! I'll get to watch True Blood soon!

He did look young, but with vampires, it's hard to know his true age. I'm curious to know who his Maker was and if he/she still exists?

i was on vacation in the US last week and was able to watch True Blood with my fiance and what I loved about it was that they showed clips from next week! HBO Canada doesn't show previews, so we are usually waiting with baited breath for the next episode.

Does anyone think that Daphne is really dead? What is Eric's fascination with Sookie?? Does anyone else agree that Eggs should always be without a shirt on??

I quit watching True Blood last year when I had a real live bat in my living room while watching True Blood. That was kinda scary...

I read all the books as well. You definitely compare the books to the show.

In the book- the Maenad did not stay around for long.

Also in the books- there is a relationship between Eric and Sookie. I hope the show follows it the way the book is, I really liked that part. It shows a totally different side of Eric.

Agreed. I'm rooting for team Eric too (he and Sookie really had it going on in the books...) I love the books but I like it that the TV series is so different. I have to say season 2 is even better than season 1. Very addictive.

I am so upset!! What happened at the end! I really don't want certain people to die namely Eric and Godric. I know they wouldn't kill Sookie....who would everyone fight over. I love this whole Godric as Jesus thing I just hope they haven't sacrificed him already. So much happened but that explosion at the end has me reeling. A week seems so long

Yesterday's episode was amazing...well except for that whole pot pie scene...i had to change the channel because it was hard to watch! I've never read the books, so i have no idea how things go in the books, but i'm thinking that maybe Goderic dies as he is the only one fast enough to grab Luke and take him out of the room before the bomb explodes...just a theory. There was not enough Lafayette in yesterday's episode

Don't worry, wini. I know they won't kill off Eric yet because they keep talking about big plans for him in this season and the next. He's safe for sure. I'm not positive but I thought I saw Godric in clips they showed of next week's episode. He and Isabel seemed pretty far away from where Luke was standing.

Something seems to be going on with Godric and that church. It just seemed very odd and he was so vague about it. When he had a hold of that big guy Gabe and Gabe said "Godric, it's me." And then Godric doesn't say anything, just breaks his neck. What the hell was that about?
