My wife is getting on my nerves. I want to go back to Thailand. She wont go. Can she keep her green card and stay in the US?

I want to have this whiskey.

:lol: What's really funny (and I just have to believe that Scott is laughing at this too....) is that all you n00bz (with regards to Thailand) are talking about the SangSom and no one picked up about my remarks regarding Cowboy and Pattaya.... Thailand is just a hell of a place. A hell of a place! I can certainly understand why Scott wants to go back :P

Naaah. Brother Mark and I are great pals and have a common love for all things Thai.

To be serious for a second, Thailand has a reputation for its sex trade, and for foreigners who come looking for that scene.

In my view, there's no point in denying it. It's as much a part of Thailand as all the rest - the natural beauty of the country, the warm and friendly people, the cuisine, the Buddhist temples. I think Thailand's openness with regards to sex, to gender issues, is admirable. It is a world leader in performing sex change operations and openly accepts its transsexual community. I personally also think that there is nothing wrong with a society that tolerates sex for sale between consenting adults.

I do think there is a very serious problem in Thailand where young and uneducated kids from the hillside villages come down to Bangkok to work in the brothels and go go clubs and massage parlors. It's pretty hard to consider much of what goes on as entirely "consensual". However- I think it's much less hypocritical than many western countries, particularly the US, on this subject.

Nonetheless...I understand Scott's dilemna. I too want to return to Thailand! Yet, my wife is deserves 'this moment' in the USA. In part, it is a part-n-parcel of the immigration procedure...we don't have the freedom as of yet to go back-n-forth at will, which is discouraging.

To my brother Daboyz...I understand...and agree...liquor is the solution. For me...its Maker's Mark...the selected drink of the most stringent of Catholics! :yes: Daz me...
